About OTC Asia Conference
What?
Thirteen of the energy industry's leading professional associations will collaboratively organise the inaugural Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) to highlight Asia's growing importance in the global energy mix.
Covering developments spanning from Russia to Australia and India to Oceania, OTC Asia will provide industry professionals the opportunity to meet in one of Asia’s emerging oil and gas hubs, to share knowledge and discover cutting-edge technologies to further the region’s growth.
OTC Asia is a part of the same successful brand as the flagship OTC, held annually in Houston, the Arctic Technology Conference, and OTC Brasil.
Where?
Energy security is becoming increasingly important for countries in Asia as their economies continue to develop and expand. In an effort to meet the domestic demand for energy resources, Asian countries are increasing capital expenditures in oil and gas exploration and production.
The region’s energy sector is dominated by offshore production, and Asia is the global leader in fixed platform installation. As the majority of the region’s activities take place in shallow water, it offers a stable market for pipeline and fixed platform developments. However, to cultivate undeveloped reserves and resources, countries and companies are exploring more challenging conditions, such as deep water in remote locations. This, along with increased exploration activities, will drive the subsea, floating production, pipeline, and control line markets over the next five years.
